Betty is a native of Colombia, South America. She lived in Bogota, the commerical capital of the country. She met Sandy through the Internet, and, as they say, the rest is history.

Betty is a financial auditor by training and professional certification. For more than twentyfive years she led one the auditing and collections portions of the largest automotive finance corporations in Colombia before retiring and moving to the United States.

More than seventeen years ago Betty was diagnosed with progressive kidney disease resulting in the loss of both kidneys. She survived and thrived, after the generous donation of a kidney from her younger sister, Marina. Today she is healthy, active and has a wonderful outlook on life that every day lived is enjoyable and meant to be happy.  She is, in the humble opinion of her husband, the happiest and most pleasant person you will ever meet in your life.
