About Beatriz Waters

Beatriz comes from Colombia arriving in her new home some twenty-five years ago.  She traveled extensively in the United States before arriving in the greater Boston area where through fate and good fortune happened to find her soulmate, Sandy. 

Their adventures together led them to resettle in North Carolina  and to split time between NC, the family summer farm in Maine, and Bogota Colombia.

Beatriz and a number of her friends became accountants while working in Colombia. Later in the U.S. she was a property manager before retiring. 

Beatriz loves to learn new things, go to places and meet new people.  Although she is somewhat of a Candy Crush guru, she still manages to find time to talk and correspond with her many old friends. 

You would not know it from looking at her, or in seeing her boundless energy, but she is a thirty-five year kidney transplant and breast cancer survivor. Neither medical setback has kept her from living a full and adventurous life. 

Beatriz and Sandy both enjoy cruising on the sea and on river extended cruises throughout Europe, Hawaii and the South Pacific, Alaska, and through the Panama canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific. 

Many more future travel adventures are planned for the years ahead to add to the collection of photos, stories, and memories.
